Please close any windows/programs that use the key. This includes explorer windows opened on your key.

All you have to do in this step is to click the lightning button to start the creation.

How much time to create a LinuxLive Key ?

These are the followed steps used to create the key and estimated time :

  • Formatting the key (if checked option) (1min)
  • Cleaning previous install (<1min)
  • Downloading VirtualBox as a background task * (5 -10min but in background)
  • Copying source files to the key (5 - 10min)
  • Renaming some files (<1min)
  • Hiding files (if checked option) (<1min)
  • Creating file for persistence (1 min per 100MB)
  • Formating persistence file (1 - 5 min)
  • Installing boot sectors (<1min)
  • Uncompressing and installing VirtualBox on key (3 - 7min)

If you use a proxy, please be sure that Internet Explorer have an internet access because Linux Live USB Creator uses its configuration.

Once your key is ready, go on to next step.
